Maurine Jensen Proctor-President

A graduate of Harvard University, Maurine is the Co-founder and Editor in Chief of Meridian Magazine. She has written and edited several books, worked for The Chicago Sun-Times and is an award-winning documentary writer and producer.

 



Scot Facer Proctor-Executive Vice President


Scot is the Co-founder and Publisher of Meridian Magazine. He has written and photographed several books, including Witness of the Light and Source of the Light. He has participated in several international humanitarian projects. He and Maurine are the parents of eleven children.

RoseMarie Briggs-Executive Director

A graduate of political science and broadcast journalism, RoseMarie has broad experience in public affairs. She worked as a syndicated radio reporter for over 200 stations in the northwest and hosted a weekly radio program called "For Families." RoseMarie was an assistant scheduler for a U.S. Senate candidate and is a former marketing director for a top political technology company in Washington, D.C. She volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America and has coached little league for her sons.

Gene Schaerr-Chairman of the Board

A graduate of the Yale Law School, Gene is a constitutional and appellate attorney in Washington D.C. and has argued several cases before the Supreme Court. He served as a law clerk to United States Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren E. Burger and Justice Antonin Scalia. In addition he served for two years as associate counsel to the President of the United States.




Dr. W. Dean Belnap-Vice-Chairman of the Board

Dr. Belnap has been in the private practice of child neuropsychiatry for 30 years and is a member of the clinical faculty at the University of Utah Medical School. He’s been President of the Utah School Board Association. He has written four books on child and adolescent guidance.




Craig Mortensen-Treasurer


Craig is a CPA and an attorney, specializing in estate planning and taxes.

John Swallow-Chairman of Development

John Swallow, an attorney, is the President of On International, an innovative, high-tech company. He served for six years in the Utah legislature, where he was named the taxpayers’ advocate of the year. He has been a candidate in Utah for the U.S. Congress.






Dean Taylor-Chairman of Launch


Dean Taylor is the co-founder of Caldera International and a consultant for company launches, taking them through the initial marketing stages to established growth. He co-authored a book on teaching yourself Linux. He has been President of PartnerAxis.


Lynn Chapman-Policy Director


Lynn Chapman is currently pursuing his Ph.D degree in Public Policy from George Mason University. Lynn spent over 20 years in the telecommunications industry where he held a variety of technical and management positions. He currently serves on the board of trustees of Southern Virginia University and on the board of Enterprise Mentors International.


Anne Leavitt


Anne has written a comprehensive history of Southern Utah University. She has given several years of service on the board of directors of the Utah Shakespearean Festival and the Utah Endowment for the Humanities. She has been on the Utah Task Force on Higher Education and the Utah Drug Abuse Task Force. She is the mother of six children, one of whom, Mike, is the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services.



Richard Eyre


Richard is a Harvard MBA management consultant; New York Times bestselling author of more than two dozen books, principally on families and life balance; director of President Reagan’s White House Conference on Parents and Children; political consultant specializing in referendums and bond elections; frequent guest on national media (Oprah, Today, Good Morning America.)


Linda Eyre


Linda is the Founder of Joy School; mother of nine children; New York Times #1 best-selling author, former state Young Mother of the Year; named by the National Council of Women as one of America’s six outstanding young women; musician and music teacher. International lecturer and frequent quest on national media; She and Richard are the parents of nine children.


Dr. Terrance Olson


Terry has served as the Chair of his department, as an Associate Dean of the College of Family, Home and Social Sciences, as Associate Director of the World Family Policy Center, and as Associate Director of The Faculty Center, all at BYU. He has a Ph.D in Marriage and Family Living from Florida State University.







Kim Pugmire


An accountant, Kim is the co-owner of Dispatch Trucking, one of the largest southern California materials and earth movers. He oversees the administration and finance of large construction projects.


Meg Pratt


Meg Pratt says she has spent her life with her family and church. She is the mother of eight and grandmother of seven. She is a community leader in Maryland who has special interest in the cure of cystic fibrosis.








Patti Lichfield


Patti Lichfield is an adventurous soul--She's gone sky diving, hang gliding, scuba diving, bungee jumping and just recently climbed the Sydney Australia bridge. She's survived a fire, earthquake, and a recent flood, but none of this compares to the adventures of being a mother of 7, and grandmother of 7. She supports her husband in his endeavor to help parents deal with teens who are struggling at home, school and in their community.


Spencer Anderson


Spencer Anderson works as the Special Assistant to the Vice-President of Domestic and Economic Policy at The Heritage Foundation—a conservative public policy “think tank” in Washington D.C. He and his wife, Michelle operate a commercial photography business located in Fairfax, Virginia.

Robert Glazier is the deputy director of communications for the Office of the Governor in California. He has served as deputy secretary of communications and legislation at the Department of Veterans Affairs and was communications director for the Yes on Prop 22 campaign in California.He was the senior director of corporate communications and analyst relations for 3Com Corporation and was Chief of Staff for Congressman Matt Salmon.

Lew Cramer

Lew Cramer is the founder and managing director of Summit Ventures, LLC, a technology and financial consulting firm based in Washington, D.C He served in the Reagan Administration as a White House Fellow and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Science and Electronics, and in the Bush I Administration as Director General of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service. He is an adjunct professor of international business at Georgetown University and currently serves as International Chair of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.


Martha Schaerr

Privileged to be a stay-at-home mom for their seven children, Martha Schaerr has taught and led children’s and women’s church organizations and has held numerous PTA positions. She is currently the Magruder High School PTSA president and president of Citizens for Traditional Families. She served as a legislative district chair for the 2004 Bush Re-election Campaign and is currently a leader in the Montgomery County GOP.
